What kinds of processors are compatable with my eMachines?

I have an eMachines ET 1831-01 desktop PC with an Intel Celeron 1.6ghz processor. The motherboard is an EMCP73VT-PM but I cannot find the specific info on it as far as what processors are compatible,. However I did find out that its a socket 775 LGA.

You’ll have to get a CPU that is LGA 775, then
. That means Intel, the Core 2 lineup. If I were you, I’d take a look at the Intel Core 2 Duo e7x00 dual cores or the e8400. The e8400 is a simply outstanding processor.
It lists on the offical product website that your computer’s processor is a Celeron 420. It’s 800FSB.
From that, I’m inferring that any processor that’s socket 775 with a max of 800FSB is compatible.
Ex: Pentium D (not extreme edition), Pentium Dual-Core E2XXX, and Core 2 Duo E4XXX.
