What is the best mouse/keyboard for graphic designers?

I have looked everywhere for reviews on the best mice and keyboards – but most reviews are geared towards gamers or surfing the web. I use Photoshop and Illustrator every day and want to know which Mouse and Keyboard is best? Are there alternatives that I am not aware of? What is better for a designer, wireless or corded?

I like wireless because less cords is less hassle. In the way of keyboards/mice, gaming=graphic designing. With gaming, you need a high level of precision with your mouse, and a comfortable ergonomic design with the keyboard. You need the same with graphic designing. Look for a high end gaming setup and you won’t be disappointed.
I’m no expert, but many companies offer tablets that you can actually draw on like a screen. I don’t exactly know how they work, but I think they plug in like a mouse and are compatible with Adobe. I don’t remeber the companies that make them (Really sorry), but it might be worth looking into.

Actually, for graphic design work I would strongly recommend a pressure-sensitive graphics tablet that will give you much more control than the keyboard/mouse combo. There are several brands but I prefer Wacom tablets. They come with a cordless pen or stylus that handles much like a pencil, brush or pen. Since the tablets are pressure-sensitive, a light touch with the pen produces a light line. The heavier you touch it, the stronger, bolder then line. They also come with a cordless mouse that can be used on the tablet as well. The prices range from around $100 to over $2,000 depending on the size, model and sensitivity and are compatible with many graphics and paint programs such as Photo Shop and work with either Mac or Windows.
