I have the same static problem with the microphone since i switched from XP to Vista 64 bit and now Windows 7 64 bit. Now the problem I have is that the sound crash while playing some games like L4D, WoW and L4D2. Too bad because I trust Creative stuff since they launched the 1st Sound Blaster 16.
Does it work with x-fi soundblaster. If not what can i do to make it work. Beacuse i have tried all sorts of things, but I still can’t get it to work. Now I’m connected to the mother board audio device. so please help me.
Hello please tell me where you get those drivers so you have control panel for win7? the ones in the cd didnt not work they are not for win 7.
@mdijkhuizen01 Static sounds here too, but on XP x86. Wonder if headphones plugged in right, though — I am assuming, nonetheless. Static just began recently.
Do you get all of this if you buy it or does all of this comes with the paid,and free download over or microsoft?
question, I have the Logitech G51 5.1 speakers. How do I hook these speakers to this card. The colors on my speakers are green, pink, orange, and blue. On the sound card, there are no jacks for this. Please advise me as to what to do. Thanks
Same crackling sounds here. Can’t believe that creative just ignore the support for windows 7 64 bit. It always the same shit with creative and drivers.
The audigy 2 doesn’t work correctly with 64 bit win 7 if you have 4GB RAM or more. ive got one. Works alright but the micphone crackles and sometimes the crackly sound starts. Anoyying! I tryed both creatives and Daniel Ks drivers same with both.
Try using it in Fallout 3, or WoW, or Left4dead. They all crash or have issues with x-fi and win 7. Movies and music are fine. Games hate this card and alchemy will kill your frame rates which is the exact opposite of what a dedicated sound card should do.
Yeah it is true. Daniel K’s drivers and support pack always are better than the Creative’s ones. I have the Audigy SE that works fine on Win 7 x64, however I’m looking for a card that have audio acceleration by hardware (leaving the CPU free of audio processing). If anyone knows if the XFI Xtreme Gamer can do that please let me know it, Thanks
