How do you backup a BIOS without a floppy drive?

I have a Dell Inspiron 1501 with Vista and BIOS version 2.1.0 A07 and i’m getting more memory for my laptop and it says I need to update my BIOS and I wanted to backup my BIOS just in case anything happens when I do update it.
Whatever method you are going to use to upgrade your BIOS should also let you back it up beforehand.
