How do I connect a generic bluetooth usb dongle and a headset to yahoo messenger?

I have windows xp service pk 3 . headset is motorola h15 the usb dongle .The h15 pairs with the USB bluetooth and widows indicates it working properly but I cannot get thing to work. Do I need some software . any suggestions ?
