Ean, Which one of these sound cards do you prefer on using with the VCI 100?
I’m deciding in buying this midi controller but I am still confused whether these cards will work or not considering you will probably need two usb ports.
The NIO looks promising, is it?

Does anybody know if the nio 2/4 has “stereo mix” / “record what you can hear”?
I recently bought a m-audio fast track pro card and was devasted when i couldnt find the stereo mix option and could not use shoutcast which is why i bought it
USB sucks for sound. even PCI is better.
by the way ean, will Numark DJ I/O or Maya 44 works with VCI 100? tnc in advance

Hey Ean i watch all your stuff for great tips in traktor. i posted that video response on the other vid but i moved it over to here considering its for the more $BUDGET conscience. I would like to see some EFFECT shortcuts i could implement. like “one knob” to control the 3 or 4 knobs on one effect considering im still using 3.3. i know the “effect” should relatively change with the “amount” but if you have pre edited shortcuts for good “fx stepping” (1/8 1/2 1/1 3/2 4/1) that would be awesome

Hey Ean or anyone out there. I found about the M Audio Fast Track (not pro). It is cheaper. But is it compatible with the Vestax vci100? And is its sound ok?
Hey does anyone else have problems with the Numark DJ IO? After about a week of use, the sounds become choppy and eventually completely stop…Any suggestions on what do buy? I use it on Ableton and no, nothing is wrong with Ableton or my Mac or speakers…I’ve double checked everything.

whoops sorry everyone i found the problem: shit RCA cords! so if you get a shitty buzzing noise comming from your speakers upon connecting your interface to ur speakers, test out another pair of RCA cords first. i was using an old set of RCAs i had lying around and i guess they just had it.
ive hooked up my nio 2/4 to my laptop, installed the drivers and since i dont have studio monitors ive hooked up my output 1+2 to the AUX inputs on my stereo. Now im getting this annoying buzz, and the volume is next to nothing. when i turn up my speakers the buzz increases heaps. what do i need to do to get rid of the buzz and put some more volume into my speakers?
