I have a BIOS password on the computer I’m on currently, problem is I don’t know it and am afraid to turn off the computer for fear of me not getting back in. I’m on the administrator account right now, can I disable it from here? Thanks!

I need to update my bios, but the only operating system I have access to is a usb version of ubuntu. I want to update my bios, how do I do it with a usb key? I dont yet have a working dvd drive, so it has to be usb, thanks for your help!

I have windows xp… running an amd dual core proccessor. Not sure why but my first book device is set to removeable in my bios… why is that? I just have a regular 80 gig harddrive in the pc..? What should it be set to and what should the second and third boot devices be…

I recently updated my bios on my presario 2517A1 (2500) notebook using the flashing program found in the manufacturer’s website. Midway, my notebook shut down and I cannot boot it up now. Please somebody help? Incoming computer search :bios flash failed presario 2500 (1)
