Will it still work fine when i delete the current partition with all the operating system files on it or will it not function once this partition is reformatted?…

I overclocked my i7 920 to 3.6 GHz and ran prime 95 and one of the cores stopped working and said it had a fatal error but the others are working fine. If I got over 3.6 GHz, windows won’t even load, it just freezes at the beginning or I get blue screen of death.…

What happens if I put more memory ram into my notebook than what is required?

I have a sony notebook which I upgraded to the memory to 2gb. In each slot there is 1gb of memory equaling 2gb. What would happend if I decide to put 2gb of memory into each slot for a total of 4 gb? The specs say that the max is 2gb.
Does anyone know a freeware that can do data/partition recovery?
